Take2 has once again been successfully completed the Ministry of Education's Student Management Certification Programme.
Certified systems have been verified by the Ministry to confirm that they interface correctly with the Ministry of Education's NSI and eSDR systems, that the SDR file format meets the requirements set out in the SDR Manual for 2017.

The Take2 and Nipper products are now available in the Cloud. This means you can now work on a wide range of devices, wherever they are, as long as they are connected to the internet. We have been producing student management systems since 1998 and during this time we noticed the creep of governmental compliance requirements meant that smaller educational organisations were increasingly required to report electronically and were forced into purchasing expensive student management systems that were more complex than necessary. In response to this need, we created the Nipper Student Management System.
From the outset we wanted to create a system that would allow training providers to meet the new requirements with the minimum of fuss and expense, and we think we succeeded!
Take2 is a Suite of Student Management Software for New Zealand Tertiary Education Providers who need an affordable, effective database that will allow them to meet the compliance requirements of government agencies.
Take2 is designed for private training providers and tertiary education institutions and is in use by organisations with tens of thousands of students, through to organisations with fewer than a hundred students.

Take2 has a proven track record as being reliable and well supported, and was the first SMS to be certified for electronic reporting by both the Ministry of Education and by NZQA. Take2 is now the most widely used SMS amongst private tertiary providers.
The Nipper SMS was released in 2005. Nipper is a student management system built along the same lines as Take2, but scaled down to meet the needs of smaller training providers. Nipper is much easier to use than its big brother, while still retaining the core functionality of Take2.
The Take2 product range (including Nipper) is developed in Microsoft Access and we have successfully used Access for other developments. In particular we have specialised in using Access and other Office tools to provide an effective interface to complex data sets.
Helpdesk Support - Various support options are available including a dedicated helpdesk line, for when you're in a fix. Newsletters are available, to help you get the best from our software.
Regular Updates - Our software is regularly updated, to keep up to date with changes that are introduced by NZQA, TEC & MOE.
